Annette began her career as an attorney at Children’s Legal Services, where she prosecuted cases of abuse, abandonment, and neglect against the children of Miami-Dade County. In 2013, desirous of serving the public again, she returned to Children’s Legal Services as a Senior prosecutor. When reunification was not viable, Annette took part in ensuring that the children of Miami-Dade County found a forever home either through adoption or guardianship. In 2016, Annette re-entered private practice focusing primarily on family law.

At age 15, having been a classically trained pianist for 9 years, Annette began her own small business as a piano instructor and continued teaching until she went to law school. She was also a cheerleading coach and mentor for girls ages 3 to 5 years old and 12 to 14 years old.
