Christina A. McKinnon

Christina McKinnon is the founding attorney of McKINNON LEGAL and is the firm’s primary attorney. Her legal career began in labor and employee relations in the healthcare industry, but Ms. McKinnon soon realized that her true calling lay in assisting individuals as they face some of life’s greatest challenges.

Since entering private practice, Ms. McKinnon has focused her career entirely on Florida personal injury and family law. In addition to her work in the courtroom, Ms. McKinnon regularly volunteers with a number of organizations in South Florida. Her Pro Bono work has resulted in a number of honors and awards, including a volunteer award from the Community Partnership for the Homeless (now known as Chapman Partnership) and a Pro Bono award from Dade Legal Aid for her work with the “Put Something Back” program for indigent litigants. Ms. McKinnon was appointed to the 17th Judicial Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission for a term ending July 2020, where she presently serves as Chair.

Ms. McKinnon was selected to the Nova Southeastern University Ambassadors Board, which is comprised of leaders who are passionate about strengthening South Florida through education, economic development, healthcare, and civic service.


Lisa K. Crawford- Associate

Lisa K. Crawford joined McKINNON LEGAL as an Associate Attorney in 2019. Her practice areas are Marital and Family Law, Estate Planning and Probate.  She is a very experienced practitioner in her current areas of legal practice. She has held various employment positions in state government and in private practice throughout her career.

Lisa completed her undergraduate education at the University of Cincinnati where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She graduated from Salmon P. Chase College of Law in Northern Kentucky in 1991.  Her previous positions include time as a prosecutor with The Office of the State Attorney, 17th Judicial Circuit, Broward County, an Assistant City Attorney and Solicitor with the City of Cincinnati Solicitor’s and Prosecutor’s Offices, Of Counsel to Austin Pamies Norris Weeks, LLC, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and she has over 20+ years in private law practice:  Marital & Family Law, Probate and Estate Planning, Criminal Law, Appeals and Personal Injury.


Annette Sanchez – Of Counsel

Annette Sanchez serves as Of Counsel to McKINNON LEGAL. A Miami native, she received her Bachelors of Science in Business Management and Organization from the University of Miami in December 2007, earning various accolades including President’s Honor Roll, Provost’s Honor Roll, and Dean’s List. She went on to attend Florida State University College of Law, attaining her Juris Doctor in 2011, where she had the following accomplishments:

  • Member of LAWtinos
  • Drafted the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children in Spanish for Puerto Rico to adopt into law
  • Participated in drafting the Spanish Translation of the Florida Constitution
  • Awarded the Evidence in Criminal Litigation Book Award
  • Received the Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award

Annette began her career as an attorney at Children’s Legal Services, where she prosecuted cases of abuse, abandonment, and neglect against the children of Miami-Dade County. She subsequently entered private practice, primarily representing banks and businesses in commercial litigation matters in both state and federal court.

In 2013, desirous of serving the public again, she returned to Children’s Legal Services as a Senior prosecutor. Annette won several Termination of Parental Rights trials and many Dependency trials, receiving only one unfavorable verdict in her entire career as a prosecutor. She facilitated the reunification of parents with their children when appropriate, providing families with the necessary tools and services needed to achieve a safe home environment. When reunification was not viable, Annette took part in ensuring that the children of Miami-Dade County found a forever home either through adoption or guardianship. In 2016, Annette re-entered private practice focusing primarily on family law.

At age 15, having been a classically trained pianist for 9 years, Annette began her own small business as a piano instructor and continued teaching until she went to law school. She was also a cheerleading coach and mentor for girls ages 3 to 5 years old and 12 to 14 years old.

Michelle Del Pino – Law Clerk/Client Relations

Michelle Lynn Del Pino began her career with McKINNON LEGAL in January 2015 as a Legal Assistant and is currently the firms Client Relations Specialist.  Ms. Del Pino received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Florida International University.  Ms. Del Pino is expected to graduate with her Juris Doctor degree in May 2019.  She currently serves as a Board member for the Family Law Society, National Security and Law Society, and the Tort Law Society.  She is also 3L Representative of the Student Bar Association Elections Committee.  Ms. Del Pino looks forward to becoming an Associate Attorney with McKINNON LEGAL in the Fall.


Tyrone Smith – Legal Assistant/Paralegal

Tyrone joined McKINNON LEGAL in January 2019.  He was formerly with the Clerk of Courts for Miami Dade County, working in several divisions including the Family, Civil and Domestic Violence Divisions.
